Sensor, Coolant Temperature: Removal: 3.6L

WARNING:

Hot, pressurized coolant can cause injury by scalding. Cooling system must be partially drained before removing the coolant temperature sensor.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Partially drain the cooling system.
  3. Remove the drivers side front inner wheel splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL .

  4. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the engine coolant sensor (2).
  5. Remove the sensor from the cylinder head.
