Accelerator Pedal: Installation: Installation

CAUTION:

The accelerator pedal and mounting nuts need to be torque in a mandatory torque sequence or damage could result to the pedal assembly.

  1. Install the accelerator pedal and mounting nuts to the mounting studs. Tighten the nuts in a mandatory torque sequence to 29 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
  2. Connect the electrical connector from accelerator pedal.
  3. Connect negative battery cable, tighten nut to 5 N.m (45 in. lbs.).
  4. Use a scan tool and perform the APPS RELEARN function.
