Charging System (Service Information): Generator: Installation: 2.0L

  1. Position the generator for installation.
  2. Install the two bolts to the generator and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Connect the generator field connector and position the B+ cable to the generator stud.
  4. Install the B+ nut and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Install the serpentine belt. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  6. Install the right halfshaft. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  7. If equipped, install the Power Transfer Unit (PTU). Refer to INSTALLATION .
  8. Install the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, INSTALLATION .
  9. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  10. Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to NEGATIVE CABLE .
