Charging System (Service Information): Generator: Installation: 2.4L

1. Install the generator to the engine block bolts (1, 4) and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
2. Install the positive cable to the rear of the generator stud (2) and tighten the nut to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
3. Connect the field generator wire harness connector (3).

4. Reposition the A/C compressor to its upright installed position and tighten the inner A/C compressor mounting bolt (2) to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
5. Install the A/C compressor forward mounting bolts (1) and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
6. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, INSTALLATION .
7. Install the resonator. Refer to INSTALLATION .
8. Install the engine cover. Refer to INSTALLATION .
9. Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to NEGATIVE CABLE .
