Keyless Go: Operation

The Keyless Go function is used to start the engine without needing to insert a mechanical key in the ignition switch. The vehicle does not have a typical ignition switch. The switch function is performed by an Engine Start/Stop button on the instrument panel bezel to the right of the steering column.

There must be at least one valid key fob in the passenger compartment for the Radio Frequency Hub (RFH) to be detected by the Low Frequency (LF) antennas in order to start the engine. The Keyless Go function is always present regardless of the passive entry function.

The Engine Start/Stop button is electrically connected to the RFH. The button status signal is received by the RFH by means of two wires on which voltage signals are transmitted.
