  1. Remove the bolt (1) the secures the starter heat shield (3) to the engine block and position the heat shield aside.

  2. Remove the bolt (2) that secures the knock sensor (1) to the engine block.
  3. Disconnect the wire harness connector (3) from the knock sensor.
