Fuse Arrays: Notes

The fuse array is connected to the Engine Compartment Power Distribution Center (PDC) and is a serviceable component. The following procedure details how to remove the upper and lower fuse array components from the PDC.

REMOVAL 

Upper Fuse Array 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to 3.6L, BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT or 5.7L, BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .

    2 - PDC Latches
  2. Remove the PDC cover by releasing both latches located on the sides of the PDC.

    1 - Captive Screws
    2 - Eyelet Fasteners
    3 - Eyelet Terminals
  3. Remove the eyelet fasteners and disconnect the eyelet terminals from the PDC.

    1 - Upper Fuse Array
    2 - Power Distribution Center (PDC)
    3 - Upper Fuse Array Latch
  4. Release the upper fuse array latch and lift up on the upper fuse array to remove from the PDC.

Lower Fuse Array 

  1. Loosen the captive screws on the upper PDC.

  2. Release the PDC latches and separate the upper and lower PDC.

  3. Remove the lower fuse array fasteners and remove the lower fuse array from the lower PDC.

  4. If necessary, remove the fuse link from the lower PDC.

INSTALLATION 

During installation, torque the fasteners to the specifications in the torque table(s) below.

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle.
