Fuse Arrays: Notes

REMOVAL 

Upper Fuse Array 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the front Power Distribution Center (PDC) cover by pushing inward on the latches and lifting up on the PDC cover.

  3. Remove the eyelet nuts and disconnect the eyelets from the PDC.

  4. Release the retaining tab that secures the fuse array to the PDC and lift up on the upper fuse array to remove it from the PDC.

    Lower Fuse Array

  5. Loosen the PDC bolts.
    NOTE:

    The PDC bolts are captured and cannot be removed from the PDC.

  6. Release the tabs on the sides of the PDC and lift upward to remove the PDC from the PDC bracket.
  7. Remove the eyelet nuts and disconnect the eyelets from the PDC bracket.

  8. Remove the lower fuse array nuts and remove the lower fuse array from the PDC bracket.

INSTALLATION 

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.

NOTE:

After Installation of a new Fuse Array, please go to the "Guided Diagnostics" routines on the WiTech tool and run "ESS 150 Amp Fuse Check
