Oil Pump: Disassembly

  1. Remove bearing race.
  2. Remove four seal rings.
  3. Loosen six mounting bolts evenly in pattern shown in Fig 2 and remove oil pump cover from oil pump housing.

    CAUTION: Do not use a punch to mark outer and inner rotors.
  4. Mark outer and inner rotors as shown in Fig 3 , and separate them from oil pump housing.

  5. Remove plug then remove washer, spring and fluid pressure bypass valve.
