Torque Converter: Inspection

NOTE: DO NOT clean torque converter by hand using solvent.

Torque converter is a sealed unit and cannot be disassembled for service. Replace torque converter if defective. Remove any rust from pilot hub and boss of converter. Measure pilot bushing inner diameter. If measurement exceeds 2.090" (53.07 mm), replace torque converter.
