Lower Arm: Installation

Apply general-purpose grease to new tire dust boot.
Press the dust boot onto the ball joint with an suitable tool.

Install the ball joint to the lower arm and tighten two ball joint mounting nuts and bolts.
Tightening torque: 69~86 lb.ft (93~117 N.m, 9.5~11.9 kg.m)
Install rear control arm bushing with a washer and tighten retaining nut.
Tightening torque: 69~86 lb.ft (93~117 N.m, 9.5~11.9 kg.m)
Tighten the three mounting bolts.
1. Tightening torque:
  1. 69~86 lb.ft (93~117 N.m, 9.5~11.9 kg.m)
  2. (A) 40~50 lb.ft (54~68 N.m, 5.5~6.9 kg.m)
Put the ball joint into the knuckle and tighten the lower arm ball joint pinch bolt and nut.
Tightening torque: 32~40 lb.ft (43~54 N.m, 4.4~5.5 kg.m)
Tighten the pivot bolt after installing the front control arm bushing.
Tightening torque: 69~86 lb.ft (93~117 N.m, 9.5~11.9 kg.m)
Recheck caster and camber and readjust if necessary. See SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES .
