Repair procedures: Removal

  1. Preparation
    1. Remove the rear seat cushion (Refer to REAR SEAT .
    2. Remove the service cover (A).

    3. Disconnect the fuel pump connector (A).

    4. Start the engine and wait until fuel in fuel line is exhausted.
    5. After engine stalls, turn the ignition switch to OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the fuel feed line (A) and canister hose (B).

  3. Life the vehicle.
  4. Remove the center muffler (Refer to EXHAUST MANIFOLD .
  5. Support the fuel tank with a jack.
  6. Unscrew the brake hose mounting bolts (A).

  7. Disconnect the fuel filler pipe (A), the leveling hose (B) and canister hose (C).

  8. Unscrew the fuel tank mounting bolts (2) and nuts (2), and then remove the fuel tank.
