Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
  2. Disconnect the VCMA connector (A).

  3. Remove the bolts (A) securing the VCMA to the intake manifold.
  4. Separate the VCMA linkage rod (B) from the attachment point on the VCMA lever using a trim clip removal tool.

  5. Remove the VCMA from the vehicle.
