Repair Procedures: Removal
NOTE:
- Be careful that no contaminant enters into spark plug holes.
- Use the spark plug wrench (A) to prevent the damage on the spark plug.
NOTE:
- When removing the ignition coil connector, pull the lock pin (A) and push the clip (B).
Ignition Coil (Cylinder #1) [Bank 1]
- Remove the surge tank.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "SURGE TANK ")
- Disconnect the Ignition coil connector (A).
- Remove the ignition coil after loosening the mounting bolt (B).
- Remove the spark plug.
Ignition Coil (Cylinder #2) [Bank 2]
- Turn the ignition switch off and disconnect the battery negative (-) Terminal.
- Disconnect the Ignition coil connector (A).
- Remove the ignition coil after loosening the mounting bolt (B).
- Remove the spark plug.
Ignition Coil (Cylinder #3) [Bank 1]
- Remove the surge tank.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "SURGE TANK ")
- Disconnect the Ignition coil connector (A).
- Remove the ignition coil after loosening the mounting bolt (B).
- Remove the spark plug.
Ignition Coil (Cylinder #4) [Bank 2]
- Turn the ignition switch off and disconnect the battery negative (-) Terminal.
- Disconnect the Ignition coil connector (A).
- Remove the ignition coil after loosening the mounting bolt (B).
- Remove the spark plug.
Ignition coil (Cylinder #5) [Bank 1]
- Remove the surge tank.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "SURGE TANK ")
- Disconnect the Ignition coil connector (A).
- Remove the ignition coil after loosening the mounting bolt (B).
- Remove the spark plug.
Ignition Coil (Cylinder #6) [Bank 2]
- Turn the ignition switch off and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
- Disconnect the Ignition coil connector (A).
- Remove the ignition coil after loosening the mounting bolt (B).
- Remove the spark plug.
