Repair Procedures: Replacement

  1. Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the engine side cover (A).

  3. Disconnect the ECM connector (A) and TCM connector.

  4. Remove the ECM & TCM bracket assembly (A) after loosening the mounting bolts and nuts.

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

  5. Remove the TCM (B) after loosening the mounting nuts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

  6. Remove the ECM (B) after loosening the mounting nuts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
