Repair Procedures: Removal: Notes
- Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery and then wait for at least 30 seconds.
- Turn the steering wheel so that the front wheels are facing straight ahead.
- Remove the airbag module.
(Refer to Restraint - "DRIVER AIRBAG (DAB) MODULE and CLOCK SPRING ")
- Remove the lock bolt (A) and the steering wheel.
Tightening torque: 44.1 ~ 49.0 N.m (4.5 ~ 5.0 kgf.m, 32.5 ~ 36.2 lb-ft)
CAUTION:- Do not hammer on the steering wheel to remove it; it may damage the steering column.
- Bolt must be replaced with new one.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
