Repair Procedures: Disassembly

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the steering wheel assembly.

    (Refer to Steering System - "STEERING WHEEL ")

  3. Loosen the screw (A) and then remove the paddle shift switch (B).

  4. Disconnect the paddle switch connector (A).

  5. Loosen the screw and then remove the steering back cover (A).

  6. Disconnect the connector (A) from the steering wheel remote control.

  7. Loosen the screw and then remove the steering wheel remote control assembly (A).

  8. Disconnect the heated steering wheel connector and then remove the heating wire.

  9. Loosen the bolts and then remove the damper.

    NOTE: When replacing the steering wheel, be sure to reuse the damper. (The damper is not included in the steering wheel for A/S)
  10. Loosen the screw and then remove the steering wheel remote control (A).

  11. Install in the reverse order of removal.
