Repair Procedures: Installation
- Using a knife, scrape the remaining sealant around the body panel leaving about 2mm-thick sealant (0.0079 in.). marks on the quarter fixed glass and the body.
Information
If the paintwork is damaged, apply a repair paint or an antiseptic.
- Clean the edges of the body panel and the quarter fixed glass.
- Apply a body primer to the edge of the body panel.
Information
- Be careful not to touch the surface covered with the primer because touching it may lead to water leaks after installing the windshield glass.
- Do not apply the body primer to the glass.
- Remove any foreign materials from the primer-covered surface.
- Install the quarter fixed glass (A).
- Refit the quarter fixed glass mounting nuts.
Tightening torque:
3.9 - 4.4 N.m (0.4 - 0.45 kgf.m, 2.9 - 3.3 lb.ft, 34.7 - 39.1 lb.in)
- Install the C Pillar garnish (A).
- Install the rear door pillar trim.
