Repair Procedures: Installation
- Install the crankshaft sprocket (A)
- Make sure that the crankshaft key is aligned with the mounting surface of the lower crankcase. Make sure that the TDC mark on the front of the intake/exhaust CWT sprocket matches.
- Install the oil pump chain.

- Install the timing chain guide (A).
Tightening torque:
9.8 -11.8 N.m (1.0 -1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
- Install the timing chain (A).
Crankshaft sprocket → Timing chain guide → Intake CWT sprocket → Exhaust CWT sprocket.
NOTE: When fitting a timing chain, fit the timing mark (A) of each sprocket to match the timing mark (B) of the timing chain.[Intake CWT]

- Install the timing chain cam to cam guide (A).
Tightening torque:
9.8 -11.7 N.m (1.0 -1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb.ft)
- Install the timing chain tensioner arm (A).
Tightening torque:
9.8 -11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb.ft)
- Install the timing chain tensioner (A).
Tightening torque:
9.8 -11.7 N.m (1.0 -1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb.ft)
NOTE: Install the timing chain tensioner and remove the stopper pin (A). - Rotate the crankshaft 2 revolutions in clockwise direction. Ensure that the TDC mark on the front of the intake/exhaust CWT sprockets match.
- Install the timing chain cover.
