Repair Procedures: Installation

Install the crankshaft sprocket (A)

Make sure that the crankshaft key is aligned with the mounting surface of the lower crankcase. Make sure that the TDC mark on the front of the intake/exhaust CWT sprocket matches.

Install the oil pump chain.
(Refer to " Oil pump chain ")
Install the timing chain guide (A).
Tightening torque:

9.8 -11.8 N.m (1.0 -1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

Install the timing chain (A).
Crankshaft sprocket → Timing chain guide → Intake CWT sprocket → Exhaust CWT sprocket.

NOTE: When fitting a timing chain, fit the timing mark (A) of each sprocket to match the timing mark (B) of the timing chain.

Install the timing chain cam to cam guide (A).
Tightening torque:

9.8 -11.7 N.m (1.0 -1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb.ft)

Install the timing chain tensioner arm (A).
Tightening torque:

9.8 -11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb.ft)

Rotate the crankshaft 2 revolutions in clockwise direction. Ensure that the TDC mark on the front of the intake/exhaust CWT sprockets match.

Install the timing chain cover.
