Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
  2. Disconnect the variable intake solenoid valve connector (A) and vacuum hose (B).

  3. Remove the VIS valve after loosening the mounting bolts (A).

    Tightening torque  :

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

  4. Remove the VIS valve (A) after loosening the rod.
