Charging System: Troubleshooting: Notes
NOTE:
- If it is a discharge problem, make sure to take a measurement of the current.
(Refer to Charging System - "BATTERY ")
- If the battery negative (-) terminal is disconnected during the measurement of the parasitic current, it may be normal by the battery reset, so use the clamp meter without removing it.
- When checking the main fuse of the alternator, not only visual check, but also electrical and voltage check is performed to verify the normal condition.
- Do not use non-genuine parts as the charging system may be faulty due to the installation of parts other than genuine ones.
- Be careful when working because battery discharge may occur due to open circuit/short circuit of wiring due to misassembly.
- Note that there may be other problems/possible causes/maintenance measures other than the above items.
- Refer of the DTC Guide and the electrical circuit diagrams enables more effective maintenance.
