Brake Calipers

  1. Turn ignition off and disconnect negative battery cable. Ensure brake fluid level in reservoir stays between the MIN and MAX levels. Thoroughly clean caliper bleed screws before attaching bleed hose.
  2. Attach bleed hose to any caliper bleed screw. Submerge other end of bleed hose in clean glass jar partially filled with clean brake fluid. Open bleed screw. Using full, even strokes, slowly depress brake pedal several times until there are no air bubbles in jar.
  3. Depress and hold brake pedal down, and close bleed screw. Release brake pedal. Repeat procedure on remaining calipers. Tighten bleed screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Install bleed screw protector caps. Check brake fluid level in reservoir. See CHECKING BRAKE FLUID LEVEL  . Reconnect negative battery cable.
