Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) Module: Notes
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Land Rover Range Rover Sport. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The automatic temperature control (ATC) module is mounted on the outboard end of the air inlet duct, behind the front passenger side of the instrument panel.
The automatic temperature control (ATC) module processes inputs from the center instrument panel switch pack, system sensors and the medium speed controller area network (CAN) bus, then outputs the appropriate control signals to the air conditioning (A/C) system and the heating and ventilation system. In addition to controlling the air conditioning (A/C) system and the heating and ventilation system, the automatic temperature control (ATC) module also controls the following:
- The front seat heaters. Refer to Seats article.
- The rear window heater. For additional information, refer to: Glass, Frames and Mechanisms article.
- The windshield heater. For additional information, refer to: Glass, Frames and Mechanisms article.
- The windshield washer jets and exterior mirror heaters. For additional information, refer to: Rear View Mirrors article.
