Oil Pressure Switch Test
- Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between switch body and ground. If continuity does not exist, remove switch, clean threads and retest. If continuity exists, check for continuity between switch terminal and switch body with engine off.
- If continuity does not exist, replace switch. If continuity does exist, start engine and check for continuity between switch terminal and switch body. If continuity does not exist, switch is okay. If continuity exists, check engine oil pressure using a mechanical oil pressure tester. If oil pressure is okay, replace switch.
