Hazard Warning Switch Test

  1. Remove hazard warning switch. See HAZARD WARNING SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Place switch in OFF position. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between terminals No. 7 and 10. See Fig 1. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace switch.
  2. Place switch in ON position. Continuity should exist between terminals No. 7 and 8, between terminals No. 5, 6 and 9, and between terminals No. 2 and 3. If continuity does not exist as specified, replace switch.
