Anti-Lock Brake System: Description

The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) consists of hydraulic unit, actuator, four 3-position actuator solenoids, pump motor, ABS computer and 4 wheel speed sensors. See Figure. Some models are equipped with an optional Traction Control (TRAC) system, which is integrated with the ABS system.
