Door Courtesy Switch

  1. Locate door courtesy switch to be tested. One switch is located in each door jamb (total of 4 switches). With switch on (switch pin released), check for continuity between door courtesy switch terminal No. 1 and No. 2, and between terminal No. 2 and No. 3. See Fig 1. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace switch.
  2. With switch off (switch pin depressed), check for continuity between door courtesy switch terminals. If continuity does not exist, switch is okay. If continuity exists, replace switch.
