Abs Solenoid Relay

  1. Remove ABS solenoid relay from relay block on left side of engine compartment. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between ABS solenoid relay terminals No. 4 and 6. See Figure. Resistance should be approximately 80 ohms. Check continuity between relay terminals No. 2 and 3. Continuity should exist. Check continuity between relay terminals No. 1 and 3. Continuity should not exist. Replace relay if any preceding tests are not as specified. If relay tests are as specified, go to next step.
  2. Using jumper wires, connect positive battery voltage to ABS solenoid relay terminal No. 4 and negative battery voltage to terminal No. 6. Check continuity between relay terminals No. 2 and 3. Continuity should not exist. Check continuity between relay terminals No. 1 and 3. Continuity should exist. Replace relay if any preceding tests are not as specified. If relay tests are as specified, go to next step.
