Oil Level Sensor: Inspection

INSPECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR

Partially immerse the sensor in an oil bath and warm up the oil bath.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance

STANDARD RESISTANCE REFERENCE

1 - 2	ON, 20°C (68°F)	Below 1 Ω
	OFF, 20°C (68°F)	Below 1 Ω
	ON, 60°C (140°F)	Below 1 Ω
	OFF, 60°C (140°F)	10 kΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the sensor.
