Retrieving Codes

NOTE: A New Generation Star (NGS) tester is required for testing the power window system.

Before beginning any testing, retrieve any existing Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). See ON-DEMAND SELF-TEST in MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article in the ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section. Make any repairs that may be indicated. See appropriate PINPOINT TESTS. If symptoms remain, or if no DTCs exist, see SYMPTOM CHART table, then go to appropriate PINPOINT TEST. If any DTC begins with letter "U", see MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article in the ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section.
