Master Switch

  1. Remove master power window switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Connect one lead of an ohmmeter or the ground lead of a self-powered test light to pin No. 3 of power window master switch. See Fig 1. With all master switches in NEUTRAL position, continuity should exist between pin No. 3 and pins No. 4 through 11. Replace switch if continuity is not as specified. If continuity is as specified, go to next step.
  2. Check specified switch pins for continuity while exercising switch as indicated. See the MASTER SWITCH TEST  table below. If continuity is not as specified, replace master power window switch and retest system.
