Battery Specifications

CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, vehicles equipped with computers may lose memory data. When battery power is restored, driveability problems may exist on some vehicles. These vehicles may require a relearn procedure. See the COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in the GENERAL INFORMATION section.

The vehicle may be equipped with a Motorcraft maintenance free battery. Water is not needed to be added unless vehicle is driven under severe conditions. If battery is needed to be replaced, replace with a low maintenance battery. The electrolyte level in the low maintenance battery should be checked every 24 months or 24,000 miles.

Continental uses a standard BXT-65-750 battery.
