Master Switch

NOTE: In wiring diagram, master switch connectors are labeled as C521 and C522. In master switch test, connector C521 is referred to as connector C1, and connector C522 is referred to as connector C2. Identification has been changed for test references only.

Remove master switch from vehicle. Check resistance between specified terminals while operating switch. See MASTER SWITCH TESTING  table. Replace switch if resistance between specified terminals is 5 ohms or more. DO NOT  check resistance between terminals not specified. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 .

MASTER SWITCH TESTING

Switch Position Continuity Between Connector Terminal:
Neutral C1-3 & C2-3; C1-2 & C2-3; C2-2 & C2-3; C2-1 & C2-3; C2-4 & C2-5
Left
Up C1-2 & C1-4; C1-3 & C2-3
Down C1-3 & C1-4; C1-2 & C2-3
Right
Up C2-1 & C1-4; C2-2 & C2-3
Down C2-2 & C1-4; C2-1 & C2-3
