The starter is a gear-reduction, permanent-magnet type motor with an externally mounted solenoid. Starting system consists of a starter motor, solenoid, battery, ignition switch, Transmission Range (TR) switch, starter relay and Steering Column/Ignition/Lighting (SCIL) module.
