System Tests: Notes

CAUTION: When battery is disconnected or modules are replaced, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
NOTE: Many test steps refer to various connectors. To identify connectors and terminal numbers, use appropriate illustration and/or appropriate wiring diagram. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  and CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION DIRECTORY  table under CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION. Instrument panel fuse box may also be referred to as Central Junction Box (CJB). Power distribution box may be referred to as battery junction box.
NOTE: After any repairs are complete, ensure all component are properly installed and all harness connectors are connected properly and repeat data link diagnostic test.
