Test A: No Communication With Abs Control Module

  1. Check Circuit No. 530 (Light Green/Yellow Wire) For Open

Turn ignition off. Disconnect ABS control module C176 25-pin connector. Connect EEC-IV Breakout Box. Measure resistance between breakout box terminals No. 8 and 24 (Light Green/Yellow wire) and ground. If resistances are less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistances are more than 5 ohms, repair Light Green/Yellow wire. Clear DTCs and repeat self-test.
  2. Check Circuit No. 601 (Light Blue/Black Wire) For Open

Turn ignition off. Measure voltage between breakout box terminals No. 25 (Light Blue/Black wire) and No. 8 (Light Green/Yellow wire), and between terminals No. 9 (Light Blue/Black wire) and No. 8 (Light Green/Yellow wire). If voltages are greater than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltages are less than 10 volts, repair faulty wire. Clear DTCs, and repeat self-test.
  3. Check Circuit No. 687 (Gray/Yellow Wire) For Open

Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between breakout box terminals No. 23 (Gray/Yellow wire) and No.8 (Light Green/Yellow wire). If voltage is greater than 10 volts, see MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair faulty wire.
