Oil Pump: Installation

    NOTE: Oil pump must be held against block until bolts are tightened.
  1. Align the inner rotor of the oil pump assembly to align with the flats on the crankshaft, and slide the oil pump toward the block until it is seated against the block.
  2. Rotate the oil pump assembly to align with the bolt holes.
    • Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  3. Install the Timing Drive Components. For additional information, refer to TIMING DRIVE COMPONENTS .
  4. Install the oil pump screen and pickup tube. For additional information, refer to OIL PUMP SCREEN AND PICKUP TUBE .
  5. Install the front stabilizer bar. For additional information, refer to FRONT SUSPENSION - 4X2 .
  6. Fill the engine with clean oil.
