Intermediate Shaft Speed Sensor: Removal

    All vehicles 

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to the JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. 4x4 vehicles 

  3. Disconnect the front driveshaft from the transfer case.

  4. Disconnect the front driveshaft from the front differential.

  5. Remove the front driveshaft from the vehicle.

  6. All vehicles 

  7. Remove the shift cable and bracket.

  8. Disconnect the intermediate shaft speed (ISS) sensor electrical connector.

  9. Remove the ISS sensor.
    1. Remove the ISS sensor screw.
    2. Remove the ISS sensor from the transmission.
      • Inspect the ISS sensor O-ring for damage. If damaged, install a new O-ring.
