Cylinder Head: Assembly

  1. Install a new CHT sensor.
    • Tighten to 22 Nm (16 lb-ft).
  2. Install the CMP sensor and bolt.
    • Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
    3. NOTE: Lubricate the valve stem seal with clean engine oil prior to installation.

  3. Install the valve stem seal.
    4. NOTE: Lubricate the valve stem with clean engine oil prior to installation.

  4. Install the valve.
  5. Using the special tool, install the valve spring, retainer and retainer keys.

  6. Repeat the procedure until all of the valves are installed into the cylinder head.
