Cylinder Head: Disassembly

Using the special tool, remove the valve spring retainer keys.

Remove the valve spring assembly.
1. Remove the valve spring retainer.
2. Remove the valve spring.

Remove the valve.
- For component tests for the valve, refer to ENGINE SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
- For component tests for the cylinder head, refer to ENGINE SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .

Remove and discard the valve stem seal.

Repeat the procedure until all of the valves are removed from the cylinder head.
Remove the bolt and the camshaft position (CMP) sensor.
Remove and discard the cylinder head temperature (CHT) sensor.
