Oil Cooler: Installation
- Position the oil cooler and a new gasket and install the bolt.
- Rotate the cooler clockwise until the locating pin hits the stop.
- Tighten the bolt to 60 Nm (44 lb-ft).
- Install a new oil filter and gasket until the seal makes contact.
- Using an oil filter strap wrench, tighten the filter an additional 270 degrees.
- Connect the 2 coolant hoses to the oil cooler.
- Fill the engine with clean engine oil.
- Fill and bleed the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
NOTE:
Inspect the gasket and surfaces for contamination prior to installation. Lubricate the gasket with clean engine oil.

CAUTION:
The cooling system filling and bleeding procedure must be followed exactly or damage to the engine can occur.
