Toe Adjustment
- Using alignment equipment and the manufacturer's instructions, measure the toe.
- Start the engine and center the steering wheel.
- Turn the engine OFF and, using a suitable holding device, lock the steering wheel in the straight-ahead position.
- Loosen the tie-rod jam nuts and remove the steering gear bellows clamps.
- Rotate the front wheel spindle inner tie rods.
- Tighten the tie-rod jam nuts. Install the steering gear bellows clamps.
- Tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
- Recheck the toe settings and adjust if necessary.
Front Toe Adjustment
NOTE:
Do not allow the steering gear bellows to twist when the front wheel spindle inner tie rod is rotated.
- Using alignment equipment and the manufacturer's instructions, measure the toe.
- Start the engine and center the steering wheel.
- Turn the engine OFF and, using a suitable holding device, lock the steering wheel in the straght-ahead position.
- Loosen the toe link jam nut.
- Rotate the toe link to adjust the toe.
- Tighten the toe link jam nut.
- Tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
- Recheck the toe settings and adjust if necessary.
