Toe Adjustment

    Front Toe Adjustment 

  1. Using alignment equipment and the manufacturer's instructions, measure the toe.
  2. Start the engine and center the steering wheel.
  3. Turn the engine OFF and, using a suitable holding device, lock the steering wheel in the straight-ahead position.
  4. Loosen the tie-rod jam nuts and remove the steering gear bellows clamps.

  5. NOTE: Do not allow the steering gear bellows to twist when the front wheel spindle inner tie rod is rotated.

  6. Rotate the front wheel spindle inner tie rods.
  7. Tighten the tie-rod jam nuts. Install the steering gear bellows clamps.
    • Tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).

  8. Recheck the toe settings and adjust if necessary.

    Rear Toe Adjustment 

  1. Using alignment equipment and the manufacturer's instructions, measure the toe.
  2. Start the engine and center the steering wheel.
  3. Turn the engine OFF and, using a suitable holding device, lock the steering wheel in the straght-ahead position.
  4. Loosen the toe link jam nut.

  5. Rotate the toe link to adjust the toe.

  6. Tighten the toe link jam nut.
    • Tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).

  7. Recheck the toe settings and adjust if necessary.
