Servo Diaphragm

  1. Connect tachometer to engine. Start and warm engine to normal operating temperature. Stop engine. Remove air cleaner.
  2. Detach 3-way solenoid-to-servo diaphragm vacuum hose from servo diaphragm. Connect intake manifold vacuum hose directly to servo diaphragm. Start engine, run at 2000 RPM, then release throttle.
  3. For GLC wagons, the engine speed should remain within 1100-1300 RPM.
  4. If engine speed is not within specifications, turn adjusting screw to obtain specified RPM. Replace servo diaphragm if correct RPM can not be obtained.
