EGR THERMO Valve

  1. With engine idling at operating temperature, disconnect vacuum hose from EGR valve. Apply manifold vacuum to EGR valve. Engine should idle rough or stall.
  2. If engine does not respond as described, remove thermo valve and check operation of valve opening. Valve should start to open at 104°F (40°C) and open completely at 158° (70°C).
