Fuel Pump

  1. Disconnect battery negative cable from battery. Disconnect main fuel hose from fuel pipe. Connect a fuel pressure gauge to fuel filter end.
    NOTE: Cover the hose with waste cloth since fuel is splashed out when disconnecting the hose.
  2. Reconnect battery negative terminal. Turn ignition switch to "ON" position. Using jumper wire, connect wire between Green/White and Black wire terminals of pump connector to start pump. See Fig 1 . Measure fuel pressure. Outlet pressure should be 64.0-85.3 psi (4.5-6.0 kg/cm2 ).
