The clutch is a single dry disc, diaphragm spring type. On 323 and 626 EFI models, the release mechanism is cable actuated. On the 626 turbo, the clutch release mechanism is hydraulically actuated. A prelubricated release bearing is used and is located in the transaxle housing.
