Air By-Pass Solenoid Valve
- Ensure all accessories are off and connect a tachometer. Bring engine to normal operating temperature and run at idle. Disconnect air by-pass solenoid valve connector and ensure the engine idle is 750-800 RPM (M/T) and 900-950 RPM (A/T). Adjust if necessary.
- Apply battery power and ground to each connector terminal. See Fig 1

table. Ensure engine RPM for each system is within specifications. Adjust each system RPM by turning the appropriate valve adjusting screw.
- With engine off and air by-pass valve connector disconnected, use an ohmmeter to check resistance of each system. See RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS
