Hot Idle Compensation System: Description
On B2200 models, hot idle compensation system supplies additional air to the intake manifold to maintain smooth idle and reduce emissions. B2200 models use an idle compensator valve. When intake air temperature is more than 145°F (63°C), the idle compensator valve opens and allows air directly into the intake manifold. See Fig 1 .
