Idle Speed Adjustment

Switch off all accessories. Set parking brake and block drive wheels. Connect tachometer to engine. Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Ensure ignition timing is correct.

Idle speed controlled by computer and By-Pass Air Control (BAC) valve. There is no provision for manual idle speed adjustment. If idle speed is not with specification, perform a thorough visual inspection. See BASIC TESTING article.
