Emergency Lock Retractor
- Verify that belt can be pulled out smoothly and that it moves smoothly when worn.
- Verify that retractor locks when quickly pulling belt. Remove retractor. Hold retractor at same angle as when it was installed.
- Slowly incline retractor while pulling out the belt. Verify that retractor locks on an inclination of approximately 30 degrees. See Fig 1 . Inspect webbing for scars, tears, and wear for deformation of fittings.
